About me

I have completed the Advanced Performance Diploma at City lit where I gained a distinction.

I am expressive, energetic, youthful yet passionate and I have a love for Shakespeare and his contemporaries but also I love the writing of Federico Garcia Lorca. My favourite play would have to be The Love of Don Perlimplin and Belisa in The Gaden by Lorca; it is full of passion and darkness yet also full of life; and it is short but very effective. I recommend anyone to read it.

Ongoing training as a performer is really important to me, and I have been on workshops with Annabel Arden from Complicite, Theatre Ad Infinitum on Lecoq, and workshops with Jeremy Stockwell. I am really interested in new writing, devising and also different forms of puppetry. I am a member of The Actors Guild and The Actors Centre.

Additional Information

City Lit Industry Showcase June 2013 review by The Stage:
"The recent Royal Court hit Jumpy, creates a great scene for Nathalie Codsi and Susannah Halley. By no means the correct ages for the roles, both actors inhabit the mother and daughter casting perfectly. Physically there is some great work going on here too, with Codsi’s stroppy teenager sprawling across the desk whingeing as Halley’s excellent Hilary clings desperately to a glass of wine and memories of Greenham Common. In Virtual Virtue Nathalie Codsi showcase the facility to factor light and shade into a contemporary duologue and still keep the piece essentially theatrical."

From the director of LilyWoot Pictures, Mark Tehnsuko:
"When casting for 'Peace Week', Nathalie wowed us from her first audition, adapting excellently to both relaxed comedy and embittered rage while demonstrating (through auditions for two separate roles) a fantastic ability to create characters far enough from herself to be unique while still retaining her own personal charm. She worked through long, late, cold and difficult shoots and her performance never wavered at all.

Basically, if you're casting, an audition from Nathalie will make your job a great load easier - and your production a whole lot better." July 11, 2011
