About me
I am normally told I look around ten years younger. I am well toned, having done many activies in my life time and having been teaching Pilates for the past three years. I have had a varying and somewhat turbulent upbringing. This has given me many experiences. This seems to enable me much in the Method acting. I seem to be very good at expressing emotions and very credibly so. I was born in Macedonia and moved to Italy at the age of 11. Most of my adult life I have been living in London. I studied at university both in Italy and in London. Here I graduated in Psychology with German. I have taught German, Italian and French. I have been teaching Psychology for several years lately. As a teacher, I have made huge use of acting out to my students. I am hence comfortable doing this in front of an audience. I have developed through my teaching an ability to control my emotions and behaviour and to express them as appropriately and to an effect too.Additional skills:
I am a tango dancer (Argentine tango) and have been doing this for about 6 years. As I have a strong core and strong body overall, and am also hypermobile, as well as fairly light, I can do pretty much anything in this dance, with a good male leader. I can adapt my dancing to standard disco and can be quite creative with it. I am quite sporty and I ski. I have also been told that I can sing well and have the ability to project my voice very well (having a strong core helps here too). One thing I seem to be very good at is improvising, producing ideas/dialogue on the spot. I speak English, Italian, German fluently, as well as Macedonian (although I have limited vocabulary here sometimes). I also can speak French, with a certain degree of fluency, but, again, limited in vocabulary. Other languages, related to these ones, I can adapt to a certain extent (e.g. Spanish, Bulgarian, Serbian and Slavic languages in general). I do not smoke.
Additional information:
I trained to become a Pilates teacher, as a natural direction of what I was already doing and this has given me further strength and flexibility which I had already developed previously, through dance, yoga, some martial arts, some swimming and other sporting activities. I am petite and slim, but my physique would probably be better described as athletic. I do not have skinny legs! I always enjoyed acting. As a student at both school and university, I took part (and directed at school, aged 14, a play by Pirandello) in theatrical representations (at University - Godsmiths college - I acted in the production of "Baal" in German).
At City Academy I did beginners, improvers and intermediate acting, as well as some stage combat and a couple of workshops extra (of which the latest one just in January 2013 - screen acting). Screen acting is something I have been encouraged to pursue by my last teacher at the intermediate course, who told me I have an amazing, natural ability to express emotions.
