The Bread and Roses

  • About
THEATRE: The Bread & Roses Theatre is a new and innovative pub theatre in Clapham, South London, launched in November 2014.

The Bread & Roses Theatre programs a wide-spread variety of productions for local as well as far-reaching audiences. The venue also aims to provide theatre-makers with a space to develop and present their work and has a capacity of up to 54.

Located in Clapham, within walking distance of several tube and overground stations in Zone 2 (Clapham North, Clapham Common, Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Road), the theatre sits in a brilliant location.

It is also home of the in-house Bread & Roses Theatre Company, which focuses on supporting new and contemporary writing.

PUB: A bright, modern gastro-pub and is therefore ideally equipped to provide informal yet efficient conference facilities. We can provide refreshments all day, as well as lunch from our extensive menu.

Situated on the first floor, this large high ceiling room with floor to ceiling sash windows is a beautiful and versatile venue. We can accomodate 80 people in a party atmosphere, or 40 in comfort.

The minimal decor lends itself to numerous types of events from daytime conferences, casual parties and grand events such as wedding receptions.

It has its own bar (which can be screened off for meetings), full toilet and washroom facilities meaning it can be made into a fully self contained venue.
