When auditioning you get asked to do monologues preferably in your native accent. So I was wondering if anyone new of any Scottish male monologues playing age around 20's just to see if anything different pops up rather than the same old.

Eck in Dead Dad Dog by John McKay

Alex in Passing Places by Stephen Greenhorn.

There's a couple in Singin' I'm no a Billy, he's a Tim by Des Dillon too.


And I'm sure there are one or two darker ones in Knives in Hens by David Harrower too...

McDade in 'Writer's Cramp' by John Byrne...

Actually, there's bound to monlogues somewhere in John Byrne's 'Slab Boys' trilogy too! Phil, Spanky, Hector and Alan are all late teens early 20s.


Possibly some early John (Jo) Clifford plays like 'Losing Venice'...
