| Just out of interest - does anyone tweet? I started a while ago but cannot seem to get any followers - it may be that i am just sad, dull and boring or posting rubbish tweets. If any of you can give me some ideas and how successful you are - it would be great. Ta! twitter.com/johnburtonactor Editorial comment | ||

| Its probably a case of the emperor's new clothes isn't it - someone, somewhere will realise that it's pointless and that will be that. Mind you it shows no sign of abatement at the moment and even CCP is on the bloomin thing. I just don't know how to get more followers - it seems pointless to keep tweeting if no one is reading it. Thanks for your comment though. John | |

| You have another follower ;) I use it mostly for friends and spying on celebrities, but I have some actor friends who use it for networking. So far I've been in contact with a few film companies but nothing major, here's hoping! | |

| I went on it because of CCP but I suppose things are only as useful as you make them and I just haven't bothered really - my own fault :-)) | |

| I used Twitter to publicise a play i was in recently. I tweeted links to the the play's facebook page and to the box office. I also put links up for some of the reviews.I deliberately included key words like "camden" and "London play" so people's searches would include my tweets. Did it help pull people in? Who knows? Although the play sold out 3 out of 4 nights I don't know how much my twitter campaign helped, but it's all marketing. | |

| Actually, it's the first social networking site I have been part of that isn't about 'OMG, lyk totally blah', but then I am only following a small number of people... I have been though the whole disillusion of adding famous people and then realising all they do is clog up my news updates with utter drivel... so now I follow a selected few. It helps that my sister is queen of the networking on it- in fact most of her work circles around it. I, of course, use this to my advantage. Otherwise it's just a challenge to see if I can compress my thoughts into 140 characters. twitter.com/bo_miller | |

| I've been on Twitter for a while now, and I enjoy it. I use it to have kind of open conversations with friends and also to follow "celebs" who have interesting things to say as well as news sites. If you want to grow your numbers, you should engage in conversation or at least @reply to people. I got one retweet from Robert Llewellyn's twitter, and suddenly I had ten more followers. And so it goes. I've also had people look me up on Twitter after seeing my Youtube videos and stuff, and I'll do the same a lot of the time. I don't see it as all that useful for marketing unless you have 1000+ followers at least, but if you get involved and talk to people, it is a lot of fun and you quickly grow a group of people to talk to. Mine is: www.twitter.com/magnulus by the way. | |
