Stephanie.Gunner 10 posts last on: 07/02/12 send private reply	Hello everyone, just wondering if any of you would be able to do me a favour by looking at my headshot/profile etc. and giving me some honest opinions on my look, or what my casting might be? Just need to get out of my own head, I'm going round in circles! Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Best wishes and hope you're all well x

You've also got a good look for classical/period roles - a parlor maid with a secret. The colour photo is a nice one of you - do you have that in black and white for you profile default?

fenix 12 posts last on: 07/02/12 send private reply	A great exercise that was given to me at a workshop in LA was to go through a list of working actors and doing a type of "collage" of those you "look" like. It will give you a general idea of what your type might be, as well as the roles you would be put up for by your agent or seen for by a CD. This exercise is quite an eye opener and needless to say that the LA coach was quite direct when he said that if you cannot find anyone that you can identify with, then think about how your own career might go and what problems you might come across. Of course, you need to take what you can from this advice and ultimately, make up your own mind. You can argue that if you cannot find any successful working actors out there who look like you, then there's a gap in the market that you can very well fill. I had a look at your profile to see if you had a showreel which would have helped in my comments. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one. I listened to your voicereel and as per other comments, you would be suitable to period pieces (but that's just going from your voice). It would be great if you could get a showreel done and show your acting skills. Maybe you'll find for yourself what your casting type might be. Good luck.

Fenix, that's a great idea, I love doing collages as well so double bonus! Sounds like the perfect excuse for an arts and crafts afternoon! I know what you mean about the showreel, I am currently frustrated beyond measure at chasing up the screen work I've done so far, getting copies is proving annoyingly slow! I would say, young mum, teacher, carer. Or someone who apeears these things but maybe has a darker side. if you subscribe to castnet, there is a feature on there where people comment on your headshot anonomously. Telling you what they think your type is and your agverage playing age. Very useful.
