Hi guys,

I need some help and advice. Apart from going into a studio is there an alternative way of creating a backing cd for use in professional performances?

There are some fantastic backing tracks already out there. I buy a lot from itunes and they are listed under instrumentals or karaoke - don't be deterred by the word, some are fantastic. You just have to be prepared to listen to a lot of samples.

I recommend you check out http://www.online-md.co.uk/

Lindsay who runs the site is a member here and is exceptionally good - if there's not already a track on there that meets your requirements, just send her a copy of your music and she'll professionally record it for you either as a piano track or a full performance-ready backing track.

Gotta back up the others and say OnlineMD is a great site. Really quick turnaround on tracks, really good value and the tracks are excellent.

Dress Circle is also really good if you are particularly looking for musical songs. Also, check the next time you buy sheet music as they quite often have a CD of backing tracks :)

Thanks for the recommendations guys!

As people have said, we have an online store on our website where you can buy/download tracks plus we are more than happy to record bespoke items as Piano Accompaniments or Fully Orchestrated tracks.

Please feel free to PM me if you would like any more info about our services - always happy to help wherever possible.

Best wishes,

Lindsay

PS - I will mention that we are on holiday next week just to give you a heads-up!
