| Topic: Long Form Improv Anyone?? | ||

| Hello there, I recently relocated here from New York City, where I was an active member of the improv scene. I studied at the Upright Citizen's Brigade in Manhattan and performed with several teams. Since moving here to London, I have met some other folks who also studied this "Del Close" style of improv, which is focused around learning the Harold and its variations. There are no props, no costumes, no confusing conceits just a stage, chairs, a one word suggestion, and your teammates. We are starting a practice group with the aim to ultimately perform. If any of you have done this kind of improv or would like to learn, reply to this message and I can send you the details on our next meeting. | Hi Cecile, I'm a long form improviser too. I work with a few different companies. If you're in London come along to the nights at the Miller, London Bridge on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Check the schedule cos sometimes it's not long form but it's all improv. I studied at IO Chicago and Second City over a couple of summers and am involved with a few long form groups. ...Do you do improvised singing perchance? | Long Form sounds good, I have a book on it somewhere I think...have never really done it though, more short improv, would love to give it a shot though. Keep me posted! | |
