Hi-I'm new on the site and have posted a few headshots on so far. I know they seem as if they are very alike and I will be taking some off once I've chosen one for the main headshot but wondered if any actors could please give some honest 'first impressions' on what you think each might say or which stands out as a main headshot photo? I am unsure and sick of looking at them now! I know close fmaily/friends aren't being honest! Thank you-I appreciate it! Monika

I think I would choose No: 3. I wonder whether they might benefit from being cropped very slightly? Also, I don't know whether there is any way of having them retouched to have a slightly graded colour to the background? They are very clear, but the white seems rather stark/clinical.
You look great in them though!

Thank you for your advice. I'm new at this! Will take a look-you can change your main headshot pic on here can't you? Thanks again!

Hello Monika! Adding another opinion into the mix - I think the very last shot is the one that has most "sparkle" to it, which is what CD's will look for - a projection of some sense of personality. You are nearer the camera and the top is more neutral, too which seems a strange thing to say but can make a difference. Helen is right that the others do seem a bit stark and are too "far away" in feel, they need cropping a bit to bring you closer. Just my two pennyworth! :) x

Hello again-Is there anyone else who could please offer some advice? I'm still really stuck and would appreciate it so much. I'm also having to choose one for Spotlight but not sure if any of these would be any good-I'm starting to hate looking at them now.I guess I don't want to look too 'innocent' but then again, not too angry either-as I read somewhere photos often can when trying to be 'engaging'! Thank you again for any feedback..

I think 16 or 17 for Spotlight - they are closer, more cropped and have more contrast to them. I think for Spotlight especially, that you've got to go with what is most 'you'...so often as actors we go for the one that's us looking a bit more glamorous, or the one that's taken at a very flattering angle, not that any of yours seem to fall into that, but the whiteness of your first few may appear to be changing your skin tone? But I think that the last two are good, pretty, neutral shots, that a CD would hopefully be happy with were you to walk into their audition.

I like 15 or 16 as they both seem to stand out from the others. The background is better darker as it helps to delineate you.
Lovely pics altogether though.
