| After a successful Premiere of "That's Entertainment' at The Lichfield Garrick Theatre in September 2009, Nobody's Perfect Productions are pleased to announce the current schedule for the UK Theatre Tour in 2010. Returning to this touring production from the Original Premiere cast is Steven Humpherson and Della Allen. We are also pleased to announce that joining the Touring Production of "That's Entertainment" is Stewart Nicol (playing Vince Meager) and Paul Findlay (playing Joe). SYNOPSIS: The new double bill of plays penned by Lichfield author Phil Preece reveals the many faces of showbusiness - the has-been looking for something better and the superstars discontented with their success. "My new double bill was written to explore the possibility of two voices working together, perhaps each mistaking what the other is saying or manipulating their partner's response. It allows a lot more possibilities while still keeping the intimate focus on the actor's voice and actions." The number of tribute acts around today prompted Phil to write "Mr Blue Sky". Ageing rocker Vince Meager has done the rounds for decades, having a ball, but has maybe missed out on 'real' life. A fan comes backstage one night and he experiences emotions he never thought he could feel. In "That's Entertainment", a couple of national TV stars at the top of their game attend an Awards Night and the entertainment industry has come out in force to honour the duo's prime-time success. But in Phil Preece's usual style, the play reveals that behind the scenes not everything is rosy in TV land, because backstage Joe and Lee are locked in a battle their audience would never suspect. Phil explained: "They've been together since they were children, so they know each other inside out. In one way their partnership is like a marriage, but it's also a luxurious trap. The first show takes place at The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham on 27th February and the final show will be at The Guildhall Theatre in Derby on 3rd June. The Tour dates at present are as follows: Friday 19th February The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Birmingham. Saturday 20th February The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Birmingham. Saturday 20th March Abbots Bromley Hall Sunday 28th March The Jermyn Street Theatre, West End, London Tuesday 30th March The Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton Sunday 25th April The Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock Friday 14th May Great Bridgeford Hall, Stafford Friday 21st May The Rose Theatre, Kidderminster Thursday 27th May The Dovehouse Theatre, Solihull Thursday 3rd June The Guildhall Theatre, Derby | |

| I'll try and make it to one of the shows, too. I have heard good things about it already! And aye, the venue is pretty darned grand. I had an audition there last summer - didn't get the part, but at least enjoyed the surroundings! | |

| Oh really? What and where did you hear it from? The author Phil Preece (top bloke) is actually from Lichfield and has been a theatre reviewer for like 20 years and has turned to writing plays, and with great reception too! As I say, the company has had a lot of interest and Phil's writing has been sent off to Channel 4 as they are interested in turning "House of Pain" into a comedy for screen. Would be great if you could make it along to one of the shows Jonathan...where abouts are you based in The Midlands?? | |

| In Birmingham at the moment and so ridiculously easy to get there from here! I recall the audition was for a TV pilot, though one of those auditions that, as you leave, you spot the next actor in line and think, "Oh, but he looks perfect for the part!" Turns out I was probably right in that instance!! | |
