I know it gets a little dull asking for feedback but I couldn't think of a more qualified bunch of people to ask than you ;-)

This is only the first edit so all CONSTRUCTIVE crits welcome.

I agree - really liked it and well edited. On a side note, you look a lot like Sarah Parish!

Hi there!

I think it's good in lots of ways and you have a really great screen presence! My thoughts for what they're worth:

I attended a couple of workshops last week with CDs and they were both as clear as day that they saw no point whatosever in montages! (My showreel will be changing very soon - my montage goes on for ever!!). One CD said to put a montage at the end if you really wanted to. Both said that they would just prefer to go straight in to a strong acting scene with no preamble. As long as you can start (as you very obviously can) with a scene where the focus is on your face, so that the CD is not confused about which actor he/she is supposed to be watching, then you don't need a montage I don't think.

They also said that, for someone with a limited body of screen work (like many of us on CCP) that a couple of minutes is plenty and that 2 or 3 scenes you're proud of is all you need. Yhey advised resisting any temptation to include scenes which you're not absolutely certain about, just for the sake of padding it out, as this is more likely to count against you than for you.

With those things in mind, I would suggest you could go straight into the first scene and that you could put a short montage at the end with some tighter edits. I don't think the linking hands shot adds anything to an acting showreel - I'm also not entirely sure about the scene where you start to undress: although it does show off your great figure, we can already see this from other scenes, and despite not being remotely prudish, I felt slightly voyeuristic watching it!

I got the same advice from CD's as Helen. They just want to cut straight to the action, and don't have time for montages.

However, I can see that a Commercials casting director could value snippets that show your different 'looks' and commercial potential.Maybe a compromise is a good idea if you want to get into that.A montage may also assist in giving an agent an overview if you are looking for one.

I've looked at it now! That was a short montage, so I don't think it'll be an issue.'Looks good.I like the way it is subtle, so draws you in.

I think it's brilliant, the best showreel I've seen in AGES! You look fab on camera (although you look very different in your headshot, still fab, tho!) The only thing is sometimes the volume went a bit low, but other than that, I think it's really good, well done x

I reckon your pretty much there, though i think you could still trim a little off the time.

The sexy scene towards the end doesnt tell us a great deal about you, its worth having in there as a snippet, but i think you could lose some of it.

Its a good'n!

Hi,

I like the showreel but think you could trim the beautifully shot last scene a little and you could get into the action at the beginning quicker. Apart from that the only other comment I have is that the sound balance between scenes could be better. But that's not a major!!

Well Done and all the best!!

I agree with the last two comments and you are definitely prettier and softer looking than your head shot suggests.
Great show reel - maybe new head shots?
