TWO POUND AUDITION FEE?!
you can go whistle. honestly, the cheek of some filmmakers.

Editorial comment
Please note Nathan is not referring to a casting listed on Casting Call Pro.

Casting Call Pro never allows employers to post any auditions which have fees associated with them.

Thanks,

Chris - CCP Team

What's wrong with that? That's £2 more than I usually get paid for attending an audition :o)

no i dont think you get it, I didnt get paid two pounds to attend an audition. I applied for a casting that (in response) asked me to bring £2 to the audition to pay for their admin. Printing off my CV etc....

hey nathan, might be worth letting ccp know which company this was, because - as they quite rightly say in their comment to you - this is not allowed under the ccp rules. If people are replying to an ad and Then being asked for money, ccp should block them from making future posts (or at least have stern words!)

xx

You should always be able to get money back on a recall from any reputable setup, as I believe there is some kind of ruling in place (an Equity one, I'm not sure?) that allows an actor to be recompensed for a second audition. It's never claimable on the first round, mind, only once you have been called back in at the company's request.

As to your point, Nathan, I think all of the good gentlemen here weren't exactly taking their comments seriously ;)

Who remembers the London Shakespeare Company, who I think in 2001, charged £1 to audition. Hundreds applied before The Stage exposed them. "Administrative costs". I mean, come on!
