hayleytaylor-jones 29 posts last on: 31/01/12 send private reply	Merseyside Equity General Branch Over the past couple of years an increasing number of Equity members living in the Liverpool area have requested that Equity look into creating a Merseyside General Branch. Currently, actors, stage managers, theatre directors, and designers etc have the option of either attending and engaging with the Merseyside Variety Branch or travelling to Manchester for the North West of England Branch. Members have been made to feel welcome at the Merseyside Variety Branch and the North West of England General branch but members have felt them unsuitable because of differing agendas and the time taken to travel on a regular basis. The launch is hoped for the New Year, venue and times will be arranged. We are looking to have regular meetings that will fit around members working hours and to make it a vibrant, active branch. It is also a way for creative people to network and possible set up some local projects using local talent. We are also looking to hold regular workshops and talks either alongside the meetings or as a special event. We have a high profile actor, David Morrissey, (State of Play, The Other Ann Boleyn Girl, Red Riding) who has kindly agreed to give Equity members and prospective members a talk about his career and life as an actor. Time and Date TBC – most likely January. Please send me a personal message via this site if you are interested in either attending branch meetings or David Morrissey's talk, or both. The venue of the meetings has not yet been decided but it is likely to be Liverpool City Centre.
