| Hello all .... I have started a facebook group called South West film and theatre for those of us based in the south west- bristol and surrounding areas. I am hoping that is will be a sort of forum for us to get to know what each other are up too - whether we know of local castings, or working on projects that need crew and so on. or even just a place to yell about our productions and maybe see each others work. i love london, and all the work that gets done there- but it is also important for us who do not live there to be pro active - so this is my first step at doing that!! | 7 views ..... are we that thin on the ground in the South West?? perhaps so. Thegroup is growing though, people are joining which is nice ..... so suggestions for topics to discuss is the next move. Where is splatcat when you need him?? or the more sensible regular crew ... come out come out where ever you are .... | |

| Hi Shelly, Great idea, though we are a little thin on the ground at the moment it's a very small world! Everyone knows everyone involved in this industry in the area which is a good thing, especially when there's the bright lights of london to escape to!! Joining f/b group now ... xx | |

| oo-ar oo-ar ello there! I'm Dorset born and bred, but logic told me it was London or nothing. Despite being in the big smoke, it would be excellent to keep an eye on the south west and see whats going on, a return closer to home would always be welcome! Am joining now :-) | |

| Hey Shelly I am South West based at the mo!(reluctantly!!) Taunton born and bred- I will join the facebook group - nice idea! Just done a short down here that will be screening in Bristol in December along with 4 other shorts funded by UK Film Council --- so there is work down here occasionally!! Carolyn x | |

Great news on the work that is going on down this way, perhaps the group will encourage us all to support the shows and screening going on. And yes, there is a call to go London ... with more jobs, more flexible bar jobs, more people to network with, but while some of us are still not there yet .... this is something productive for us to do in the mean time. or maybe we will be so sucessful, people will be moving back this way??!!...... | |
