| Just wanted to mention the sad death of John Hughes who's films included Weird Science, Sixteen Candles and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I know his films we're a massive part of my child hood and I am sure some of yours. RIP John. | ||

| That is sad. He should have been featured on a Channel 4 special. Icon. | |

| Ah dear! Gutted! He was a legend! As Ferris said. 'Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while.... | |

| Rebecca, has brought up something that we are missing within 'The Green Room' and that is a 'In Memoriam' section, where we can celebrate with fellow actor's the lives and achievements of colleagues sadly no longer with us. I read recently of the passing of that great character actor Harry Towb on the 24 July 2009. Harry, in a distinguished career spanning over 60 years starred in numerous television programmes including Z Cars, The Avengers, Home James, Moll Flanders, Heartbeat, Casualty, and The Bill. I personally always loved his American accents, when he would play a villain in the likes of 'The Avengers' (Being originally from Larne, Co Antrim, Harry's Northern Ireland brogue suited an American accent so well) He will be sadly missed and a great loss to the profession. CCP Team - Is this request for a new section within your powers to do? Friends, what's your views on this? Regards Steve | |

| I think an obituary sub heading section or 'In memorandum' under the green room heading would be a respectful idea, definately. | |

| I didn't know Harry Towb had died. What a shame. I agree, an 'in memoriam' page would be a great idea. | |

| I agree that an 'In Memorium' section would be a great idea.So often people pass away whose work is an inspiration and many people do not realise. | |

| Yes, sad, and all of which is true - but he wasn't Hitchcock! Or Bergman, or Welles, or Huston, or... No wish to rattle cages - merely a call for some perspective! | |

| That's a confusing statement .... So we shouldn't remember or discuss someone that entertained us because he wasn't Hitchcock? Let's hope your family dont feel that way when your time comes, "Hmmm, well yes, but he wasn't exactly cousin Harry, lets just keep some perspective and not mourn too much" I dont believe anyone here mentioned he was the best of the best of whatever .... just that his movies were iconic, which, they were. That was a random comment indeed .... | |
