| Hi everyone-i have had a pretty good temp job for a while now...ok its boring as arse BUT it pays what I need, is mon-fri 9-5 and let me have time off 4 auditions if i need it. Its pretty perfect. The bad part is that due to the sodding credit crunch they have had to let us all go. Does anyone know of any similar data entry/office based jobs that are looking for staff?? (obv that allow time off 4 auditions etc) Thanks everyone vic xxx | ||

| Hang in there guys...so many companies are re-distributing their staff. BUT once cuts have been made they'll start taking on temps like crazy. Just cos the economy's goin down doesn't mean the workload is too...plus temps = no long term commitment Stuff will come up soon! I'm positive - used to work for an agency so saw it from the insides x | |

| Dam that SUCKS. You had the perfect job that many actors would love because of the fact that you can take time of for auditions. What you should do is check on google there are so many agencies out there and I've met many actors who easily joined just by doing that and emailing short simple letter and headshot and cv and they got replys within a week. You have to keep trying. Good luck. Reuben Liburd | |

| Guys have you thought of doing market research on the phone. It is not great but it is flexible, in an office and does not involve selling just talking to people. Theyusually advertise in the Stage and I believe IFF Research are recruiting at the moment. If you have never done it before all market research companies will train you and all you need is to be confident on the phone and speak clearly. I have been doing it on and off for years now primarilly because of the flexibility it affords. Hope things work out for you. | |

| Generally the wages are around £6.50 to £8. Most places are around £7. IFF Research are recruiting right now. They have advertised in this weeks Stage. They are based near Old Street. There are other companies such as Continental based near Barbican and two companies near Angel called ORC International and Maritz Research but I don't know if they are recruiting. good luck with the job hunt. | |
