| I have just seen this posted on www.bernardshaw.co.uk - "It is with huge regret that we must announce that Bernard died peacefully at home on Thursday 18th December 2008. All our thoughts are with his family and friends. | I was working with Bernard on my voice reel the day before he died and I was shocked to hear of his death. He was a great guy who will be missed terribly. | |

| Thank you for posting this.....What a shock to read of Bernard's death.....I did my voice showreel with him a few years ago after a class at the Actors Centre. We had a fab time, worked hard but had great fun & managed to get 40 mins of material together in the one day- incredible! So so helpful & encouraging & funny, with an inherent sense of what would work; and all those jingles etc. to draw on in his collection. He was wonderful, with a wealth of experience to share, absolute goldust. Bernard will be sadly missed by the business & by all who knew him. I also have reccommended him to loads of Actors. He said to me once (about studio production); 'You know Donna, you cant polish a turd!' I never forgot it!! Rest in Peace Bernard, much love & sympathy to his family. Donna Combe. | |

| I literally read this just now. He did my v/o demo and I did a class at the Actors Centre with him. Shocking at a young age. I remember his humour mostly and wealth of knowledge. Condolences to his family especially at this time of year. | |
