About me
Sarah Pitard, originally from the USA, holds a BFA in Acting from The DePaul Theatre School in Chicago and an MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.Most recently, Sarah's play "Full Tilt" had a public reading at Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon, California. Her short play "2:18 Finchley" won Runner-up in the Claremorris Drama Festival in Ireland and her short play "A Valued Employee" was the winner of Origins Theatre's Short Play Festival on the Isle of Wight. Her one-act play 'Bird' was excepted into Theatre Three's Annual One-Act Play Festival, which was performed in Long Island, New York in February/March of this year.
Sarah was the winner of the Arena Stage 'Our War' national Civil War monologue competition in Washington D.C. for her monologue entitled 'Mary/Marcus'. Her radio play, 'Plus One', was the winner of the Actors' Guild's Write Bites competition. Her short play 'The Beginning of Love' was included in Rewritten by The Pensive Federation.
Sarah recently acted in the short films, "Mother's Day", "Vicars", "Not Now Bernard", and "Euphoria", which are currently being prepared for film festival submission.
She appeared in Elephant's music video for 'TV Dinner' and Claus Zinger's 'If You Only Knew' music video.
On the web, you can see Sarah in the Sci-Fi Web Series, "Chronicles of Syntax", as Liza. She is also featured in #Sketchpack's 'London Living' sketch. You can also spot her in the webseries 'Funemployed Chicago' as the dream girl dog walker!
Her plays The Inappropriateness of Love and Freedom, Books, Flowers, and the Moon were performed as part of the removed Season with Paradigm. Her short plays, A Border Story, A Valued Employee, and Call Me Back, Mom have also been performed in various festivals with Paradigm.
