About me
I was awarded the Silver Medal and Emile Littler Award in my final year at RADA. I worked immediately and had a successful career for 20 years, appearing in many TV programmes throughout the 1960s,70s,and 80s: ANGELS, THE AVENGERS, Z CARS, TOMORROW PEOPLE, TROUBLESHOOTERS, DIXON OF DOCK GREEN (5 eps),CITIZEN SMITH, ANNA KARENINA, NEW SCOTLAND YARD, PUBLIC EYE, EMERGENCY WARD 10, SERGEANT CORK, SOFTLY SOFTLY, A SERIES OF BIRDS, CHARLES ENDELL ESQ, RED CAP, HUNTER'S WALK, MR BIG, WAUGH ON CRIME,FLOWER OF EVIL, AROUND THE CHILD, OUT OF THE UNKNOWN, ADAM'S APPLE, MAN IN A FRAME and CRY BABY BUNTING. I was a running character in THE RAG TRADE, CROSSROADS MOTEL and THE MARKET IN HONEY LANE. I had roles in Rudolph Cartier's BBC TV plays: BURNING OF THE REICHSTAG, IRON HAND, THE JULY PLOT, LEE OSWALD ASSASSIN and FIREBRAND.Additional skills:
I had a long break from acting, as my life took a very interesting turn.I have begun to work regularly again.
Additional information:
In the West End theatre, I played Blanche in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE at the Piccadilly Theatre; Eileen in Pinter's A NIGHT OUT at the Comedy Theatre; Helen in BARNSTAPLE at the Comedy Theatre: a part in the THE LORD CHAMBERLAIN REGRETS at the Savile Theatre.
I played Beattie Bryant in the first tour of Arnold Wesker's ROOTS; Barbara in the UK tour of THE WRONGSIDE OF THE PARK; Helen in ON APPROVAL at the Mansel Theatre, Malta; Josefa in A SHOT IN THE DARK in the South Africa tour; Betty in THE GOLDEN CADILLAC at Bristol Old Vic Theatre; and Mrs Markham in MOVE OVER MRS MARKHAM at the Westcliffe Theatre.
On BBC Radio, I played Vicky in HARMONY WEEKEND; I had roles in PINK STRING AND SEALING WAX; Arbutzov's EVENING LIGHT; THE DEVIL AND MRS DOBBS; ME AND THE GIRLS; and worked repeatdly in SCHOOLS RADIO.
Film work comprised: SOMETHING TO HIDE; BREAKTHROUGH; and SOLDIER 67.
