About me
Michelle is an Australian based in London, with a flair for comedy and a love of telling stories. Most recently she's been working for Mycotoo/Netflix on Stranger Things: The Experience, mulitrolling as Alex Mathers and Blake Collins. Prior to that she spent the pandemic working on short film and digital theatre projects including Fly on the Wall (BOSI, 2021), Dangerous Coats (Faye McKeever, 2020) & P(^.^)ssy (Caitlin Strongarm, 2020). She spent much of 2018 & 2019 touring the one woman show A Modern Guide to Heroism & Sidekickery which played at Wonderland Festival, Fringe World Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brighton Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Vaults Festival and the Kings Head Theatre in London. Other acting credits include Love Those Cockroaches (Black Cat Theatre, 2019), Secretus (The Chronic Love Dispensary, 2018), The Tree of Forgotten Dreams (Woodford Festival, 2017)She has been performing on stage since her early teens, her early roles including a wall, a chicken and a talking zucchini. Following her love of wearing ridiculous costumes and entertaining people she completed a BA Applied Theatre with Griffith University in 2011. While at university she performed in a number of stage productions including: 'Final Placement'; 'Medea Material'; 'The Lulu Plays' and 'Mother Courage and her Children'. During that time and since she has worked extensively in the Brisbane independent theatre industry with companies like La Boite Theatre Company, Pentimento Productions, Black Fox Theatre and THAT Production Company.
Whilst studying Michelle found she had more free time than she cared for and began training as an aerialist. She has since become a static trapeze instructor and regularly performed with Vulcana Women's Circus and with Flipside Circus in Brisbane. She has also picked up a range of skills in circus arts including: silks; lyra; hula hoops; acro-balance and tightwire. Michelle now works as a trainer for Flying Fantastic Aerial Gym in London, and performs as much as she can.
Additional skills:
Circus - advanced static trapeze; intermediate acrobalance, tissu & lyra; basic hula hoops, juggling & tightwire
