About me
Most notable and recent West End work: Wallis Simpson in “The Kings Speech” (also U/S Princess Elizabeth and Myrtle Logue) at The Wyndhams Theatre directed by Adrian Noble, written by David Seidler; "Quartermaines Terms" at The Wyndhams, directed by Sir Richard Eyre.Lisa played the 1980's American Mom in the Channel 5 Promo for the series "World's Strongest Man" and also filmed for BBC1, "Silk" playing the role of the Court Clerk.
Touring Lisa played Mother in “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas” directed by Joe Murphy, original book by John Boyne, adapted by Angus Jackson and Nurse Flinn in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, directed by Tamara Harvey.
Lisa was part of The Company of "How The Other Half Loves" which transferred to The West End's Duke Of York's Theatre - after a successful 3 month run at The Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2016, running for 7 months in total. Written by Sir Alan Ayckbourn. Directed by Alan Strachan.
Other West End performances and productions include “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, directed by Terry Johnson, at the Garrick Theatre and “Six Characters in Search of an Author”, The Gielgud Theatre, directed by Rupert Goold, a Headlong Production adapted by Ben Power.
Lisa has played Lead Roles in over 20 musical productions.
Lisa was the first British Actress to play the role of Tina Denmark in “Ruthless” winning the award of Best Actress for the role from Musical Stages.
Roles include creating the character of Soozie (and several other roles including the Secretary of Sooty, Sweep and Watermaine, Juno Spirit of the Keyboard and Posh Spice) in “The Next Big Thing” at The New Players Theatre, written by the writers of “Never Mind the Buzzcocks” and “Have I Got News For You”, Mark Burton and Pete Sinclair.
Also the Kolokolo Bird in “Just So” at The Tabard Theatre in Association with Cameron MacIntosh. Lisa was given an Offie Nom for this performance. Directed by Andrew Keates.
Lisa workshopped and played the role of Roberta, twice, in “Debbie Does Dallas” The Musical, written by Kelly Marcel which played at The Oxford Fire Station and the Edinburgh Festival.
Lisa has also appeared in commercials the most recent and personal being an online commercial for RBS, which featured her dog Zephyr. He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
