About me
Originally from Bournemouth, I am a London-based actor. In June 2014, I completed a year's training at Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Etampes, France, which was supported by the Arts Council of Wales.I have studied Drama at Glamorgan University's Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries up to MA level, which included classes tutored by The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
I work primarily as a character actor, having performed for theatre and independent films. I have also worked within ensemble pieces, dealing with movement and dance. Recent work includes The Flop, a collaboration between Hijinx Theatre and international clown company Spymonkey that garnered high praise from all the major reviewers at 2018's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
I have also devised shows on a much smaller scale, both in solo and two-person Fringe shows, including Malarkey and The Performance. Performance Postponed, a two-person show, gained a five-star review from The New Current at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
I have also trained with international clown Denni Dennis. In 2010, I worked as an apprentice with NoFit State Circus spending two weeks assisting with the build, community workshops and the final performances, as well as irregularly compiling workshops for schools in both England and Wales.
Through 2012 and 2013, I took part in workshops with theatre companies including Spymonkey, Complicite, John Wright, Cardboard Citizens and Frantic Assembly.
Away from theatre, I am also a keen artist. In parallel to my performance work, I like to specialise in portraiture and character, both in realism and cartoon styles. In 2003, I won the title of Horrible Histories Brainiest Boffin when Terry Deary's book series celebrated it's 10th Anniversary and in 2009 my artwork was entered into the Saatchi Art Prize for Schools.
Additional skills:
