Joining Criteria

To join Casting Call Pro you must have one or more of the following: NCDT accredited training, CDS School training, professional acting experience (by which we mean paid, speaking roles rather than extra work, modelling work, and non speaking parts). Why should I join Casting Call Pro?

Casting Call Pro gives actors a comprehensive listing in our directory of actors, accessible to thousands of casting professionals, theatre & production companies. You can also network with other actors, browse our comprehensive resources database which includes information on hundreds of agents and photographers, and take advantage of numerous discounts. You can even network with other members and keep up with friends and colleagues.

A Profile listing is free!

Unlike many other casting and directory services, a profile on CCP is free. There is no charge for creating and listing your profile in our fully searchable directory - which means that your profile is visible and can be found by companies running searches for actors - they can contact you... this and access to the resources listed above are entirely free. You can at any time upgrade this basic service by selecting one of our optional advanced packages which include useful additional features such as your very own unique profile url, up to 20 photographs in your portfolio, up to 20 showreel / voicereel clips, access to the paid casting section of the casting calls noticeboard, and our unique agents with open books directory. Are you an agency? Do you involve yourselves in contract negotiation?

Casting Call Pro is not an agency, we don't negotiate contracts or collect fees. For advice in these matters please contact your agent or the UK actor's union, Equity.

Simon Dale, Director

Before Casting Call Pro was a twinkle in his eye, Simon, 38, was the Online Services Support Manager for Production Base, where, for 4 years, he managed a customer support team and worked closely with both crew and production companies to ensure the smooth running of the UK's leading recruitment site for TV & film. Prior to Production Base he worked for a literary agent a film production company, and renovated a friend's flat in Edinburgh. In 2004, together with Chris, he set up Casting Call Pro.

Chris Timms, Director

The techie of the group, Chris has spent the last ten years developing online recruitment websites, with a particular focus on the Theatre and Film & TV industry.

Now surprised to be 34, he lives in North London and when not tinkering away on the system you can often find him on the South Bank complaining about the prohibitive price of theatre tickets.
